The Universal Life Force Energy story

Reiki is an energy healing method

of incomparable power. But to understand it, it’s first necessary, to know where Reiki healing hands and Reiki distance healing came from, and how Reiki energy healing reached the West. The story spans just about the written records of humanity, and the Reiki energy healing and the universal life force energy is certainly older than any written story.

The Universal Life Force Energy is a part of

every one of us. Children of early Earth, in the civilization we call Mu, received the basic knowledge to utilize this spiritual energy healing power at the beginning of grade school. They received what we understand as Reiki 2 at the age of high school. The Reiki Master Training was only required for educators. When the Mu’s colonized, to what is known today as India and Tibet, they still continued to apply the power of the universal life force energy. The earth changes destroyed Mu and Atlantis. This resulted in a severe cultural disorganization, causing that the knowledge to apply the Universal Life Force Energy, remained with only few natives groups.

Reiki energy healing story

The traditional Reiki healing power story begins with Mikao Usui in 1920. Mikao Usui named the discovered energy healing method Reiki, which we already know, means Universal Life Force Energy. This universal live force energy, throughout the history of mankind, in other cultures is called Chi, Manna, Prana, Holy Spirit and in many other names.

Mikao Usui became 1920 a Reiki healer. He took Reiki on foot through Japan, by healing thousands of sick people, as well as lecturing Reiki healing hands and distance healing. In this way he meets Chujiro Hayashi, a retired naval officer. Chujiro Hayashi received his Reiki Master training, 1925 from Mikao Usui at the age of forty-seven. Usui died five years later on one of his lecturing tours in 1930. By this time Mikao Usui prepared sixteen or eighteen Reiki Masters and few hundred practitioners. It was to Hayashi’s Shina No Machi Clinic, that Hawayo Takata came for a psychic healing in 1935. Hawayo Takata received her Reiki 1 training in spring, 1936 after she recovered from a serious sickness. She joined Chujiro Hayashi’s healer team and worked at the clinic. 1937 Hawayo Takata received Reiki 2 and returned to Hawaii.

Hawayo Takata’s first Reiki healing hands Clinic was in Kapaa, and she was very successful in her work. In the winter of 1938, Chujiro Hayashi visited Hawayo Takata in Hawaii, holding a lecture tour on which she has received Reiki 3 / Reiki Master training Chujiro Hayashi. On February 22, 1938, Chujiro Hayashi announced Hawayo Takata as a Reiki Master and Teacher. Thanks to Hawayo Takata, Reiki healing hands and distance energy healing power continued to spread in the West. As you already know, she brought it first to Hawaii, than to the United States, to Canada a finally to Europe. During the last ten years of her life, from 1970-1980, she initiated twenty-two Reiki Masters.
Since Hawayo Takata’s death on December 11, 1980, Reiki has gone through many changes and Phyllis Furumoto, Takata’s granddaughter became her successor, and was named as the “Grand Master” of the Usui Shiki Ryoho, which means the traditional Usui Reiki Society.

Usui Shiki Ryoho

is the closest to Mikao Usui’s Reiki, which Hawayo Takata originally brought from Japan to the West. Reiki is changing and evolving since the time of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi and Hawayo Takata.
